Kimberley Jewellery Appraisal is an independent appraisal service providing professional appraisals by appointment for the public, jewellery trade, financial institutions, probate attorneys and the insurance industry. The following type of appraisals are provided: insurance replacement, estate probate, divorce, liquidation and estimates to replace lost items.
What is an Appraisal
An appraisal is a professional document prepared by a trained Gemologist with a thorough knowledge of the jewellery trends and markets.
Your appraisal includes:
- the name and address of the owner's jewellery.
- a full description of all gemstones to include measurement, weights, colour, clarity and cut quality information.
- a full description of the metal quality, the construction, weight, workmanship and any stamps or engravings.
- a photograph.
- the date the appraisal was completed.
- the price of precious metal at the time of the appraisal.
- an explanation of all the terms used - for client understanding.
- an estimated replacement value of the item.
